Tragedy struck in Muzaffarpur as 25-year-old Niguam Kumari was discovered dead in a hotel room shortly after lodging a formal complaint of physical and mental abuse against her husband. Kumari, who lived in Ahmedabad for work, had returned to her home district to seek legal action. On Monday, hotel management spotted her body from a balcony after she did not open her door. Forensic experts have been deployed to the scene at Gobarahi Chowk. Police identified a potential person of interest, Prabhat Kumar, who was registered at the hotel earlier. The investigation aims to determine if the case is a suicide or involves foul play, pending the post-mortem results from SKMCH.
