Investors Eye Gold and Silver Gains After Strong Morning Trade

Morning trade on July 22 saw bullion prices jump, with gold touching $4,144.10 per ounce and silver $60.23, marking gains of 1.68% and 1.90% respectively. In India, MCX gold futures rose to Rs 1,44,800 per 10 grams and silver futures to Rs 2,26,600 per kilogram. City‑level quotations placed 22‑karat gold around Rs 1,33,000 and 24‑karat gold near Rs 1,45,300. Silver’s city price stayed at about Rs 2,34,900 per kilo. The rally is being driven by easing geopolitical concerns and a dip in crude oil, which together have spurred buying interest in safe‑haven assets.
