Investigation Finds Disproportionate Wealth of ADM Ravindra Kumar Divakar and Wife

A fresh vigilance raid in Patna has brought to light a striking disparity between the declared income of Additional District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Divakar and his spouse, sub‑registrar Kumari Sweeti, and the wealth found at their premises. Authorities uncovered about Rs 80 lakhs in cash, jewellery worth 250 grams of gold and silver, and a stash of 48 premium watches. Property records for flats in Kshyap Green City, land deeds and other investment documents were also seized from locations in Patna, Fulwari Sharif and Begusarai.

Divakar’s bureaucratic journey started in 2000 as a government teacher, later transitioning to a district information officer role in Saran in 2009. He has since held senior posts—including senior sub‑magistrate, public grievance redressal officer and sub‑division officer—across districts such as Katihar, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Samastipur and Gaya. After a stint as SDM of Samastipur in 2020, he was posted to Gaya and eventually to Patna, where he has been the ADM (Supply) since October 2025.

Sweeti entered the Bihar Registration Service in 2013 and now serves as the district sub‑registrar of Danapur. The vigilance bureau’s case file notes a discrepancy of roughly Rs 1.068 million between the couple’s reported earnings and the value of assets seized, prompting a deeper look into possible illicit sources of wealth.
