Investigation Launched after Attack on Kanwariya Pilgrims

Police officials arrived at the scene soon after the report, securing the area and recovering a spent shell casing. Senior Superintendent of Police, Abhijit Kaur, stated that the victim had previously been involved in a dispute with another villager on the same day and had received threats. A forensic team from the FSL has been called in to analyse the shell and trace the weapons used. The body has been sent to SKMCH for a post‑mortem examination. Investigators are also probing the earlier altercation as a possible motive.
