To accommodate the increased passenger traffic during the festive season, Indian Railways has announced significant measures for Bihar. A total of 12,000 special trains will be operated over two months for Diwali and Chhath Puja. Passengers will also benefit from a 20% discount on return journey tickets. This discount will be applicable to return tickets for passengers traveling between October 13th and 26th, with returns scheduled between November 17th and December 1st.
This initiative includes the introduction of Amrit Bharat Express and Buddha Circuit trains. Amrit Bharat trains will commence from Gaya to Delhi, Saharsa to Amritsar, and Muzaffarpur to Hyderabad. Buddha Circuit trains will connect Vaishali, Hajipur, Sonpur, Patna, Fatuha, Rajgir, Natesar, Gaya, and Koderma. Additionally, a Vande Bharat train will be launched from Purna to Patna. This decision has brought cheer to those traveling to and from Bihar during the festivals.
