India's Physical Gold Market Shows Rs 15,000 Drop per 10g in June

The domestic bullion market recorded a substantial correction in June. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association, 24‑carat gold prices slipped from approximately Rs 156,463 per 10 grams at the end of May to near Rs 141,286 by the close of June, marking a decline of Rs 15,177 per 10 grams. Major trading hubs—including Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad—reflected this trend, with 22‑karat gold hovering around Rs 1.29‑1.32 lakh and 24‑karat gold staying near Rs 1.40‑1.44 lakh per 10 grams. While a modest bounce on June 30 offered temporary relief, the overall market remained under pressure, leaving investors wary of further volatility.
