Flood warnings and school closures as rains batter Jammu, Uttarakhand and Bihar

Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Sikkim will also face persistent rain over the next week, with extremely heavy showers projected for West Bengal and Sikkim. Thunderstorms with winds reaching 40‑60 km/h are likely in parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
