Father and Son Among Five Killed by Lightning in Bihar

The farming community in Bihar's Khagaria is in mourning after a series of lightning strikes claimed five lives on Tuesday. Among the deceased are a man and his young son, who were working in their maize fields in Kanhauli village at the time of the tragedy. As the monsoon rain intensified, a massive bolt of lightning hit the area, killing three people on the spot in one location. In separate incidents within the Beldaur region, two more individuals lost their lives under similar circumstances. Local residents described the scene as chaotic, with several others suffering severe burn injuries. Emergency services were alerted immediately, and the injured were rushed to the Sadar Hospital.
