Family of Murdered Retirees Reports CCTV Glitch, Leads to Arrest Hunt
The tragic death of Ashok Kumar, a former bank employee, and his wife Neelam in Muzaffarpur has taken a new turn after their son, based in Bangalore, noticed a disturbance in the home’s surveillance system. The discovery prompted him to call a neighbour, who entered the premises and found both victims dead. The police were alerted immediately.
Detective Ajay Kumar and his team arrived, cordoned off the crime scene, and called the state’s Forensic Science Laboratory to gather DNA, blood and other trace evidence. Preliminary findings confirm that the husband suffered multiple stab wounds while the wife was strangled after her mouth was taped. Authorities have launched an intensive hunt for the suspects, reviewing footage from street cameras and interviewing local residents to piece together the attackers’ identity and motive.
