Family Demands Security and Fair Probe After Alleged Encounter Killing

In the wake of the controversial encounter that claimed the life of Bharat Tiwari, his relatives have intensified their demand for swift justice. They are calling for the immediate detention of the police officers listed in the case file.

The family points out that the lack of arrests so far raises serious doubts about the credibility of the investigation. They assert that a transparent process is essential for restoring public confidence.

Adding to their grievances, the Tiwari household reports that anonymous, number‑plate‑free cars circulate near their residence nightly, especially after 11 pm, intensifying a sense of insecurity. The family has appealed for continuous police guard and for the authorities to keep them informed about each step of the enquiry.

Beyond the arrest request, they have also asked that criminal cases lodged against local residents be dropped, stating that many are innocent victims of a politicised investigation. The family says the hunger strike will start on July 9 if their conditions are not satisfied.
