Family Claims Online Partner Lured Girl to Field Where She Was Killed

The tragic demise of a Jharkhand teenager in Bihar has left relatives accusing an online boyfriend of luring her to a remote field where she met her end. According to Anju Kumari's family, the girl left her house on the morning of June 26, saying nothing about her destination. Her father reported that Anju was in constant contact with a young man named Seatul Yadav through Instagram calls.

When she failed to appear at home by evening, the family began a thorough search, eventually informing the local police. The investigation led officers to a plot of land in Padaria where the body was found on June 29, severely decomposed. An Aadhar card recovered at the site verified the victim's identity.

Alongside the body, a damaged mobile phone was retrieved, now held as evidence. Forensic experts from the state's Science Lab arrived at the location, collecting soil samples and other trace evidence. The police have registered a homicide case against Seatul Yadav, who remains at large.

The case underscores the growing concerns over meeting digital acquaintances offline and highlights the urgent need for public awareness on online safety.
