How EPFO 3.0 will simplify PF claims with instant balance checks

Under the upcoming EPFO 3.0 framework, the Provident Fund portal will deliver real‑time balance visibility through popular UPI applications. This feature, combined with a possible PF‑specific ATM card, could transform the way retirees and active workers manage their savings. The initiative also plans to incorporate facial authentication via the UMANG app, making it easier to verify identity while updating PAN, mobile number, and bank account information. All changes will continue to respect existing PF withdrawal regulations.
