East Central Railway Enhances Patna Rail Corridor Infrastructure

As part of the nationwide rail corridor expansion, the East Central Railway is adding extra tracks to the Patna corridor. The 976 crore rupee project includes a third and fourth line for the Danapur-Patna stretch and a dedicated line from Rajendra Nagar to Patna Sahib. These upgrades are crucial for the larger Delhi-Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction-Patna-Kiul-Bhagalpur-Khana route, boosting throughput and reducing delays.
