DSP Sujit Kumar Arrested in Madhubani, Collapses During Raid

A bribery case has rocked the police administration in Madhubani, Bihar, after Traffic DSP Sujit Kumar was arrested by the vigilance department. The Nigrani Anveshan Bureau alleges that the DSP was taking Rs 30,000 as a bribe in his own office when the team swooped in.

The arrest was followed by a dramatic scene. When the vigilance team caught him, the DSP's health reportedly took a turn. He became dizzy and fell to the ground. His reaction left staff in the office in a state of confusion. The team recovered the bribe money at the spot and initiated the legal proceedings.

The matter began with a complaint to the Nigrani Anveshan Bureau, in which the complainant said that the Traffic DSP was demanding a bribe. Recognising the seriousness of the charge, the department verified the complaint first. After the verification supported the allegations, a special team was assembled and a plan was made to nab the accused officer on a fixed date and time.

Fully prepared, the vigilance officials reached the DSP's office in Madhubani. The team caught Sujit Kumar while he was accepting Rs 30,000. The action took place inside the office and created a stir among those present, while also raising discussion within the department.

After the arrest, the DSP's condition was reported to have worsened. He collapsed on the office floor, and it was also said that he began shouting loudly. Officials on the spot tried to stabilise the situation.

The vigilance department is now acting on the complaint and the facts established during the operation. The legal process in the case is ongoing.
