City-wise Gold Rates Hold Steady While Silver Faces Domestic Pullback

Across India’s major cities, gold prices showed remarkable stability on August 3. In the national capital, 24K gold fetched Rs 144,360 per 10 grams and 22K fetched Rs 132,240. Mumbai and Kolkata mirrored each other with 24K at Rs 144,210 and 22K at Rs 132,190. Chennai’s rates were marginally higher at Rs 144,600 for 24K and Rs 132,550 for 22K, while Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad matched the Mumbai-Kolkata level. Minor variations arise from local taxes and transport costs.
