The draft of the 2025 voter list for Bihar has been shared with all 38 District Election Officers-cum-District Magistrates. It has also been provided to all political parties. Individuals whose names are not in the draft list can still get their names included in the voter list. Claims for inclusion and deletion of names in this preliminary, temporary voter list will be accepted until September 1st. According to the Election Commission, there is still a month to add names. The Election Commission has urged all eligible voters to check their names in the list and submit a declaration with Form-6 to get their names added if they are not present. Voters can also register their claims and objections regarding the inclusion and deletion of names in the draft voter list. For the process, over 90,000 booth-level officers have been deployed. Special camps will also be organized to facilitate voters and address their complaints, where applications for claims and objections will be received. The final voter list will be published after the verification process is complete, on which the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 will be held later this year. The Election Commission has announced that the draft electoral roll has been published following the successful completion of the first phase (enumeration phase) of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 in Bihar. This list is available on the online portal. The Election Commission’s team is working to reach every village, every ward, and every house, and to add the name of every eligible voter to the voter list. Bihar’s Chief Electoral Officer, District Electoral Officers of all 38 districts, 243 Electoral Registration Officers, 2,976 Assistant Electoral Registration Officers, BLOSs deployed at 90,712 polling stations, lakhs of volunteers and 1.6 lakh booth level agents nominated by all 12 political parties have fulfilled their important responsibilities. More than 7.24 crore voters in Bihar have filled the enumeration form. All are included in the voter list. This is unprecedented participation. Claims and objections can be submitted from August 1st to September 1st, during which any voter or political party can submit claims and objections by filling the prescribed forms to the concerned ERO (Electoral Registration Officer) for adding the names of eligible voters and removing the names of ineligible voters.
