BJP urges local industry, RJD welcomes promise but seeks delivery
After winning the Bankipur seat, MLA Prashant Kishore announced a scheme to obtain jobs for ten thousand unemployed youngsters from Bihar. He claimed direct links with major industrialists and asked candidates to submit their biodata for placement in factories, potentially outside the state.
The BJP reacted by urging Kishore to focus on attracting investments within Bihar. Party spokesperson Neeraj argued that sending youths away will only exacerbate migration and that the state government is already working to create jobs locally. He called the promise to send youths abroad "misleading."
RJD leader Veerendra offered conditional support, stating that a promise is welcome but it must be followed by concrete action to benefit the ten thousand families mentioned.
So far, there is little evidence of a large influx of resume submissions, and the education minister has suggested that Kishore’s schedule leaves little time for grassroots engagement.
