A horrific case of child murder in a private hostel in Kaduna has been cracked by the Jehanabad police. The accused, Mukesh Kumar, was a guard working in the hostel’s canteen. Following a detailed investigation by an SIT, Mukesh confessed that he sexually assaulted the five-year-old boy before slitting his throat. Post-mortem reports confirmed the assault. The accused stated that he intended to destroy the reputation of the Gurukul Hostel due to personal frustrations and a strained relationship with the hostel owner. The police are now preparing for a speedy trial to ensure justice is served swiftly.
