Bihar's JDU Plans Direct Talks with Home Minister Over UCC Concerns

Sources close to the Janata Dal (United) say that the party is preparing a formal request for a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah. Sanjay Jha, the party’s national executive president, is said to be coordinating with senior leaders to ensure that the discussion covers the need for extensive consultations before any UCC legislation is enforced. The JDU’s stance mirrors that of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has previously urged the law commission to avoid a rushed or coercive rollout of the code.
