Bihar Jail Death: Youth Stages Mobile Tower Protest in Siwan

The Siwan district administration faced a challenging situation this Saturday as a local youth staged a protest atop a mobile tower in Mohaddipur. The protester, Saif, is the brother of a deceased inmate who died in Siwan Jail nearly nine months ago. This dramatic act was born out of frustration over the perceived inaction of the police and the district administration regarding what the family describes as a ‘planned murder’ disguised as suicide.

According to the family, Faiz Anwar was healthy when he entered the jail on July 31, 2025. His sudden death on August 2, 2025, raised immediate red flags. The family alleges that a conspiracy was hatched inside the prison to eliminate Faiz. Their primary grievance remains the unexplained delay in the release of the autopsy report, which they believe contains evidence of foul play.
