The Education Department will begin framing selection criteria after Chhath and will also decide which countries the teachers will visit. Selection will be merit-based, with marks for academic qualifications, involvement in school activities and creative work. Applications will be invited through district education officers.
The teachers will study teaching methods, co-curricular activities, homework assessment and teacher-parent engagement. On their return, they will submit detailed reports to the department so that successful practices can be adopted in Bihar.
