The Election Commission of India (ECI) is optimistic about completing Bihar’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise by the July 25 deadline. As of July 8, the ECI reported that nearly 47% of Enumeration Forms have been collected within two weeks of the drive’s commencement on June 24. According to data released by the ECI, 3.70 crore forms have been collected out of a target of 7.90 crore electors. Over 97% of the 7.9 crore forms printed have been distributed. Approximately 4 lakh volunteers are assisting elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. The entire election team is fully mobilized, with electoral officers working across all 243 Assembly constituencies.
