Bihar Crime: Suspect Strangles Woman and Calls Police

The Mauna Bishunpur village in Vaishali’s Belsar region is mourning the loss of a young mother killed in a brutal act of violence. Sahil Patel, a neighbor, has been accused of strangling Radha Kumari to death while she was alone at home during the wheat harvest season. The victim’s husband, Deepak Patel, works as a laborer in Pune and was away at the time of the murder. Investigations suggest that Sahil had been in regular contact with Radha previously. After the murder, he tried to mislead the investigation by reporting the incident to the police as a suspicious death involving her in-laws. Authorities grew suspicious of his story as they began their initial probe. The police have since moved the body to Hajipur Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem to confirm the cause of death and establish the timeline of the attack.
