Bigamy and Dowry Harassment: FIR Filed Against Husband in Pandoul

Police in Pandoul have initiated a probe into a case involving dowry harassment and bigamy. A local woman reported that her husband, Lakhlal Yadav, and his relatives demanded additional gifts, specifically a motorcycle and a buffalo, after a substantial dowry had already been paid. When the demands were not met, the victim faced severe physical abuse and was eventually abandoned. She later discovered her husband had remarried without her knowledge. After a failed attempt by the husband to seize their child from the victim's maternal home, villagers alerted the authorities. The police are now investigating the claims of domestic violence and the legality of the husband's second marriage.
