In early October, Arman Bihari was escorted under heavy guard to the Special Court of Prayagraj. Wearing a white towel over his face, he was flanked by a contingent of about forty police officers, including senior ACPs, PAC officials and a Bihar Police commander. The court, presided over by Special Judge Kumar Mayank, allowed Arman to request free legal aid, which the bench approved. The judge also ordered the production of all case documents and charge sheets for Arman's reference. While the prosecution did not demand a Police Custody Remand (PCR) during the hearing, the court scheduled the next appearance fourteen days later, after which Arman is expected to be transferred back to the central jail.
