Anganwadi Staff Demands Probe into Monthly Voucher Deductions in Supaul

Following the allegations by Mamta Kumari, Anganwadi workers across Supaul district are demanding a formal investigation into alleged monthly deductions from centre funds. The complaints centre on the handling of THR (Take Home Ration), voucher allocation and procurement cards, where supervisors are said to extract Rs 2,600 per month.

Kumari also reports that she was asked to pay an extra Rs 10,000 to clear two months of vouchers, a demand she refused, stating that the funds belong to the children’s nutrition program. She further alleges that attempts were made to coerce her into deleting the video that captured the cash transaction.

District ICDS officials have not yet responded publicly, and the case remains under review pending a departmental probe.
