Relief Operations Ramp Up in Bihar: Kitchens, Camps, and Boat Services

In response to the extensive flooding, relief activities have accelerated across the affected districts. A network of 190 community kitchens has been set up, providing meals to roughly 2.51 lakh flood‑victims to date. Three relief camps are operational, sheltering 1,631 displaced individuals and offering food, medical aid, and other essential services.

The government has also distributed around 65,700 polyethylene sheets and 12,700 dry‑ration packs to families in need. To facilitate safe evacuation and movement, 1,429 boats have been deployed on the swollen waterways. Authorities continue to monitor river discharges and are prepared to adjust resources as conditions evolve.
