Police Action in Bihar: CCTV Captures Kids Damaging Shiv Temple, Leads to Arrest

Security footage from the Shiv temple in Nalanda's Ward No. 41 showed a group of young boys breaking bricks, hurling stones at the idol, and using the sacred space for urination. The video, reviewed by law‑enforcement officials, prompted an immediate response from the Nalanda police department. The three children, aged between four and five years, were taken into custody and questioned under the provisions of the FIR lodged by a resident named Arav Raj. The temple, which was formally opened on Mahashivratri by the local MLA Sunil Kumar, continues to host daily worship despite incomplete construction work. Authorities have now deployed additional police personnel around the site, and a judicial officer has been assigned to monitor the case. The swift action aims to preserve communal harmony and uphold legal order in the region.
