In Madhepura on April 12, political strategist turned Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor dropped bombshells on the NDA’s Bihar strategy, predicting unending woes for the state under their rule. He declared Nitish Kumar unfit for CM duties due to health concerns, vindicating Jan Suraaj’s pre-election forecast that the veteran leader would step down.
Speaking candidly to reporters, Kishor reiterated his party’s stance: ‘Win or lose, Nitish won’t be CM.’ He accused allies of insider knowledge while misleading the masses with hollow chants like ’25 to 30.’ The ultimate proof, he said, is Nitish’s shift to Rajya Sabha post-victory, signaling indifference to Bihar’s plight.
Kishor leveled serious allegations of vote-buying, claiming Rs 10,000 handouts from state coffers clinched the majority. The next CM, he forecasted, will serve Gujarat’s agenda, with Bihar’s workforce migrating for factory jobs and real power residing in New Delhi. ‘Expect no halt to corruption, no end to exodus, no local employment,’ he stated bluntly.
Voters who accepted bribes, Kishor admonished, have forfeited the right to demand integrity. Leaders who purchase power will plunder opportunities for children. Yet, Jan Suraaj commits to relentless questioning and accountability from those in office.
Turning to the Women’s Reservation Bill, Kishor called out BJP’s opportunistic push, timed for southern and eastern polls. ‘This was a UPA demand; a rushed session doesn’t make it their achievement,’ he remarked. Bihar’s future hinges on authentic leadership, not political theatrics.
