Bihar Flood Relief Funding Criticized: Prashant Kishore Calls for BJP Treasury Support

Amid severe flooding in Bihar, Prashant Kishore praised the state chief minister’s decision to allocate three months’ salary, amounting to ₹6.35 million, to the relief fund. However, he urged the Bharatiya Janata Party to also contribute from its own treasury to assist flood‑affected families.

Kishore appealed directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, asking them to express sympathy for the victims and to announce additional financial help. He reminded that BJP leaders had previously pledged to eradicate flood‑related problems permanently and now needed to act on that commitment.

The remarks came as multiple parties announced monetary assistance for those displaced by the floods.
