Bihar Flood Aid: NDA Parliamentarians Give Salary, Ranjan Calls It Exemplary

Following the catastrophic floods that have inundated districts across Bihar, a group of National Democratic Alliance MPs pledged to donate their monthly remuneration to the Chief Minister's relief fund. Rajiv Ranjan, speaking to the press, hailed the initiative as a "model of empathy and leadership."

He pointed out that flood mitigation and assistance require a steady inflow of resources, which are traditionally sourced from central assistance, state allocation and public contributions. "When leaders put their own earnings on the line, it reassures the flood‑hit families that they are not alone," Ranjan remarked.

The contributions, slated for immediate transfer, aim to augment the state's efforts in providing food, clean water, medical kits and temporary shelters. Ranjan called upon other political factions to emulate the gesture, stressing that unity is essential for swift recovery.
