Bhopal By-Election Result Signals Shift Away From BJP in Datiya

The recent by‑poll in Datiya, held on July 30, marked a decisive shift in voter sentiment, with the BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari losing to Congress’s Ghanashyam Singh. Party president Jeetu Patwari attributed the win to the electorate’s frustration with corruption and poor governance, describing the result as the start of a broader change. Opposition leader Umang Singhar echoed this view, calling the BJP’s defeat a consequence of arrogance and ignoring public feelings.
