Bharat RE 2026: Global Clean Energy Summit Opens in Delhi Monday
New Delhi, November 2: A major clean energy gathering, the 'Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo 2026', begins at Bharat Mandapam here with an inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at around 4:30 pm. He will also deliver an address to those present.
The summit, which runs from November 2 to 5, is expected to draw policymakers, investors, financial bodies and industry heavyweights from around the world. Its focus is on attracting investment, driving innovation and building international partnerships in renewable energy. The theme chosen for the event is 'Invest, Innovate, Inspire.'
According to the Prime Minister's Office, more than 130 countries will send representatives, and over 40 ministers are set to attend. The summit aims to serve as a global meeting point for clean energy investment, industry participation and technology partnerships.
Australia, Denmark, the European Union, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom have been named as country partners.
In addition, 13 states and union territories will display their renewable energy strengths, investment opportunities and manufacturing capacities. The participating states and UTs are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
The summit will run alongside the ninth session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the fourth International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH), creating a combined gathering of three prominent clean energy platforms.
While Bharat RE is centred on clean energy investment, industry and technology partnerships, the ISA Assembly will push forward international solar cooperation, including finance and institutional capacity building. The ICGH will concentrate on green hydrogen technologies, investment and large-scale implementation.
The joint presence of these forums is expected to strengthen global cooperation and hasten the implementation of clean energy solutions.
Building on the legacy of 'RE-Invest', the country's flagship renewable energy investment summit, 'Bharat RE 2026' is positioned as a wide-ranging platform for global engagement in the clean energy sector.
The summit will host plenary sessions, ministerial discussions, CEO roundtables and sessions at both country and state levels. Business-to-business, business-to-government and government-to-government dialogues will also be facilitated to promote investment, partnerships and project development.
Alongside the summit, an expo featuring over 400 exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge technologies, Indian manufacturing capabilities and clean energy solutions. Sectors on display will include solar and wind energy, green hydrogen, energy storage and other emerging renewable areas.
