When questioned about the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) controversy, Bhagat rejected the BJP’s accusations as unfounded.
He noted that senior Congress leader Nischikant Dubey had earlier blamed the party for bias, yet no examination paper was leaked. Errors were detected in the OMR sheets, prompting Chief Minister Hemant Soren to act swiftly.
Following the revelation, the commission’s chairman resigned and eleven individuals were arrested, with the CID now conducting a probe.
Bhagat urged the state government to handle the matter with sensitivity, recommending that the chief minister engage directly with the protesting youth to seek a constructive resolution.
