Bengaluru Cabinet Unveils Rs 32,611 Crore Coastal Development Plan

The Karnataka cabinet announced a Rs 32,611 crore package for the three coastal districts of Karavali. The package funds water‑metro lines, data‑centre clusters, tourism promotion, marine‑biotechnology research parks and new IT campuses. Kharge described the package as historic, noting that the BJP’s former view of Karavali as a static vote‑bank is being replaced by a forward‑looking growth model.
