For the first time since the Trinamool administration, the Bengal government is deploying ten departmental floats in the Independence Day parade. Departments such as Public Works, Health, Transport, Electricity, and Rural Development will each present a customized float that narrates their latest schemes and projects.
While earlier parades featured only three to four floats, the expanded lineup reflects the BJP‑led government's ambition to communicate its wide‑range welfare agenda to citizens. The floats will be accompanied by cultural performances, and the entire program is expected to run for about an hour.
