BCI revises directive after student protest over Chief Justice invitation

The Bar Council of India has modified its earlier directive that barred NALSAR's 2026 law graduates from being registered as advocates. In a press note, BCI President Manan Kumar said the council, after extensive consultation, recognized that the students' dissent should not translate into professional disadvantage. The council reiterated its commitment to uphold the dignity of the legal profession while ensuring that no innocent candidate suffers due to the controversy.
