Bawanekule Criticises Rahul Gandhi’s Student Remarks, Invokes Rain Prayers in Kolhapur

During a parliamentary session on August 23, Maharashtra minister Chandrashekhar Bawanekule sharply rebuked Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a drama‑artist who cannot serve as a youth role model. The minister highlighted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the genuine figure admired by the state’s younger demographic.

Bawanekule targeted Gandhi’s statements concerning the "Goonj" programme for students, arguing that the opposition leader is attempting to provoke youth and paint the current government as antagonistic. He urged Gandhi to drop such tactics, noting that India’s youth backs Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadmap for a developed nation, while Maharashtra’s youngsters align with CM Fadnavis’s plan for a progressive state.

The minister’s day in Kolhapur also included a devotional visit to the Jagdamba temple, where he prayed for happiness, health and prosperity for everyone. He appealed for divine blessings to bring rain to areas still suffering from a delayed monsoon, reminding listeners that about one‑third of Maharashtra’s farming community is awaiting precipitation to protect their harvests.

Concluding his address, Bawanekule described the Fadnavis administration as a justice‑oriented government that works tirelessly for the welfare of all citizens, positioning it as a stark alternative to Rahul Gandhi’s claimed theatrics.
