Bastar highlighted as key growth hub in Chhattisgarh's economic plan

Bastar, traditionally known for its tribal culture, is being positioned as a cornerstone of the state’s future economy. Improved security has enabled a ₹4,824 crore livelihood improvement scheme aimed at raising incomes for one million families. The region will also benefit from the ₹3,513 crore Jagdalpur‑Ravghat rail link, which will connect local markets to national trade corridors.
