From Bareilly to NCR: How Three Smack Dealers Were Traced and Arrested

A coordinated effort by Delhi police and Uttar Pradesh law‑enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of three individuals linked to a cross‑state heroin trafficking ring.

The investigation began with a confidential informant’s report that identified two Bareilly residents, Furkan and Tasleem (also known as Munna), as active participants in moving the drug to the National Capital Region. Search operations recovered 122.44 g of heroin from Furkan and 35.83 g from Tasleem.

Both suspects were booked under the NDPS Act at Kalyanpuri police station and handed over to judicial custody. During interrogation, they disclosed that the contraband originated from a supplier named Rizwan, prompting a larger raid that resulted in his arrest and a 413 g seizure.

The trio admitted to initially using the drug themselves, which facilitated contact with Bareilly’s supply network. Their testimony confirms that they were part of an organized, inter‑state smuggling operation that sources heroin in Uttar Pradesh and distributes it across Delhi‑NCR.
