Bansal Praises Anti‑ISIS Raids and Calls for Student Issues Resolution

BJP leader Nareesh Bansal, in a statement released on August 5, commended the recent anti‑terror operations that dismantled two ISIS‑linked modules in Amritsar, resulting in nine arrests. He credited the National Investigation Agency for systematically targeting such cells across the country and highlighted the current government’s success in curbing networks that allegedly flourished under the Congress regime.

Turning to Jammu and Kashmir, Bansal reiterated that the revocation of Article 370 has catalysed a holistic development drive, with projects valued at approximately 2 lakh crore rupees underway and two new EMS institutions established. He noted that employment has risen, unemployment has fallen, and the youth are now participating robustly in sports and securing all‑India level jobs.

On campus dissent, Bansal said the administration is addressing students’ calls for greater transparency and an end to alleged job‑selling practices. While he could not confirm the details of any negotiations, he expressed optimism that the protests have subsided.

Regarding the recent controversy over the alleged theft of idols from the Ayodhya Ram Temple, Bansal dismissed opposition accusations as unfounded. He pointed to the swift formation of a Special Investigation Team, the detention of eight suspects without bail, and urged the opposition to await the SIT’s findings rather than politicise the matter.
