Banakipur by‑poll: NDA’s Neeraj Sinha meets Nitish Kumar, vows development drive
Patna, 12 July – As the Banakipur assembly by‑election approaches, NDA candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha convened with key alliance leaders to receive their blessings and outline his campaign agenda.
The gathering, held alongside BJP state president Sanjay Sarawagi and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (also known as Lalan Singh), focused on reinforcing the coalition’s message of unity and development.
Minister Singh congratulated Sinha and voiced confidence that the NDA will contest the election with unwavering solidarity, aiming for a clear victory at Banakipur.
Former chief minister Nitish Kumar extended heartfelt wishes, encouraging Sinha to stay engaged with the electorate and to deliver governance rooted in public welfare. He expressed optimism that Sinha would earn the trust of voters and accelerate the region’s progress.
Sinha responded by emphasizing that senior leaders’ guidance fuels his determination. He pledged that, if elected, he will prioritize expanding infrastructure, strengthening civic services, and addressing long‑standing local issues. ! BJP chief Sanjay Sarawagi underlined the NDA’s cohesive campaign, noting that the development milestones achieved under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the state government will persuade constituents to reaffirm their support for the alliance’s nominee.

Previously, the BJP had announced former MLA Abhishek Kumar as its candidate, but he withdrew for family considerations. Neeraj Sinha’s nomination filing is anticipated on 13 July.
