MP Balram Naik accuses centre of neglecting Telangana rail development

During the same parliamentary session, Balram Naik leveled strong criticism at the Union Ministry of Railways, alleging systematic neglect of Telangana’s railway expansion. He pointed to stalled projects, limited new train services and inadequate infrastructure upgrades.

Naik also raised concerns over alleged illegal occupation of railway lands in areas such as Malakajgiri, urging the central authorities to intervene and protect railway property.

The MP highlighted the removal of the “Izat Pass,” a low‑cost travel scheme for low‑income passengers, arguing that its termination has disproportionately affected the poor and middle‑class commuters.
