Bajrang SHG’s 17,000‑Flag Milestone Highlights Community Commitment

Among the 62 groups contributing to the flag‑making drive, Bajrang Self‑Help Group has received a specific target of 17,000 national flags. Group member Vijayalaxmi Maurya told reporters that the SHG has already completed stitching six thousand flags and dispatched them to the block office for further processing.

The group consists of more than ten women who are dedicated solely to the sewing work. Maurya added that the collective effort is expected to generate earnings between ₹30,000 and ₹40,000 for the members, based on the per‑flag remuneration.

The progress of Bajrang SHG serves as a benchmark for other groups in the district, illustrating how coordinated community action can meet large‑scale government objectives while providing a steady source of income for rural women.
