Azmi Objects to UN Map Depicting Arunachal Pradesh, Aksai Chin

Abu Asim Azmi raised a diplomatic concern after the United Nations released a map that depicted Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin in a manner contrary to India's official stance. Azmi asserted that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of the Republic of India and that any depiction suggesting otherwise is unjust. He demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi intervene to ensure that international representations respect India's territorial integrity. Azmi urged the government to focus on protecting borders and correcting erroneous cartographic representations at global forums. He stressed that issues such as temple-mosque disputes should not distract policymakers from safeguarding the nation's borders. The Samajwadi Party leader called for a robust diplomatic response to prevent any misinterpretation of India's sovereign territory on the world stage.
