AYUSH Ministry's Campaign 6.0 Boosts Cleanliness and Grievance Redressal
New Delhi, October 28: The Ministry of AYUSH has announced notable results from its Special Campaign 6.0. Between October 2 and October 27, the ministry disposed of 309 public grievances and 50 grievance appeals.
During the same period, the ministry carried out 220 cleanliness drives. The aim was to enhance cleanliness at the workplace, improve record management, and make optimal use of office space.
The ministry reviewed 1,525 old files and removed them as part of its record management drive. The disposal of scrap and old records released about 1,030 square feet of office space. The sale of scrap also brought in Rs 1,89,298 in revenue for the ministry, reflecting better management of government resources.
These initiatives are based on the Swachhta Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 campaign, observed from September 17 to October 2. The campaign identified 32 Swachhta Target Units (CTUs), of which 20 were completely transformed. Ministry staff, partner organisations, and local communities jointly conducted a range of cleanliness and public awareness activities.
The campaign gave significant importance to public participation and the well-being of sanitation workers. A total of 131 sanitation workers took part in its activities, and 88 were felicitated for their contribution. Cleanliness competitions and awareness programmes on environmental initiatives were also organised. As part of the closing programme of Swachh Bharat Diwas, 31 trees were planted.
The ministry continues to implement Special Campaign 6.0, with a focus on resolving pending grievances and appeals on time, maintaining systematic records, ensuring cleanliness, and using government resources effectively. Through these measures, the ministry seeks to strengthen administrative efficiency and foster a clean, organised, and citizen-centric working environment.
