Ayodhya’s Sawan Fest Highlights Rama on Ornate Swing, Trust Announces

In a special bulletin, the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Trust unveiled a collection of photographs that depict Lord Rama perched on an exquisitely crafted swing within the temple’s garbhagriha. The pictures, released during the auspicious month of Sawan, aim to bring the temple’s festive décor and devotional music to followers worldwide.

The swing is accented with polished brass bells and fragrant rose petals, while the deity is adorned in classic attire that reflects ancient iconography. Behind him, the inner sanctum’s stone pillars are illuminated by a cascade of diyas, casting a warm glow over the scene.

The Trust highlighted that the Sawan programme includes daily renditions of kajaari, a traditional song form that celebrates the arrival of monsoon rains. These performances are broadcast live from the temple complex, offering a blend of cultural heritage and spiritual worship.

Online engagement has surged, with devotees sharing personal reflections on how the visual of Rama on the swing deepens their faith. The Trust has also distributed a short video that synchronises the sway of the swing with the rhythmic beats of the kajaari drums, providing a virtual immersion into the festival’s ambience.

Officials reaffirmed that the temple will continue to host regular aarti, bhajans, and prayer sessions throughout the remainder of the monsoon season, ensuring that the spiritual vibrancy of Sawan remains uninterrupted.
