Ayodhya Tenth Deepotsav: Light, Investment and Opportunity for All
Lucknow, November 2: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has greeted the people of Uttar Pradesh on the tenth grand Deepotsav in Ayodhya, linking the festival's spiritual meaning with the state's development agenda.
In a message released as 'Yogi ki Paati', the Chief Minister said Shri Ayodhya Dham, one of the seven most sacred cities, is ready to welcome its tenth Deepotsav. He described the festival as a grand celebration of India's cultural glory, a moment when darkness gives way to light, despair to hope, and Sanatan consciousness is reawakened.
The Chief Minister noted that the festival is connected with the memory of Lord Ram's arrival in Ayodhya and carries the lessons of positivity, hope and dignity. He used the image of a small lamp to make his point, saying that even a faint flame in deep darkness can inspire new hope.
He went on to explain that the bond between Deepotsav and Sanatan tradition is also a bond with life values. Citing the Ramayana, he said Bharat ji gave up royal pleasures for fourteen years and ran Ayodhya by enthroning the sandals of Lord Ram. The example, according to him, shows that real power lies in duty. The Ayodhya Deepotsav, he said, is presenting this idea of sacrifice, dignity and devotion to the world.
Yogi Adityanath described the lamps lit along Mother Saryu and on Ram ki Paidi as a sight so enchanting that it seemed the galaxy itself had descended upon Ayodhya. Drone-based aerial shows and the participation of artists give the festival a celestial quality, he added.
He credited public participation and faith for helping Uttar Pradesh establish itself as a state of celebrations. He explained the sequence of progress: where there is light, there is safety; where there is safety, investment finds opportunities; and where investment flows, development follows. Development, in turn, opens doors to jobs, comfort and prosperity.
The Chief Minister said the festival is a source of income for potters, flower sellers, hoteliers and local traders. He called on citizens to bring cheer to underprivileged families nearby by gifting lamps, sweets and new clothes as per their means, saying this is the true spirit of the occasion.
He also directed a special message to young people, asking them to embrace positive energy, stay clear of negativity and keep their surroundings clean, since prosperity resides where cleanliness prevails. He asked them to support local artisans by buying their handcrafted lamps and products.
Finally, Yogi Adityanath invited the people of the state to visit Ayodhya with their families and friends and witness the divine splendour of the Deepotsav in the city of Lord Ram. He wished that every home be blessed with prosperity, every heart with harmony, and that a path of progress be opened for all.
