Ayodhya Saints Demand Unity to Protect Sanatan Heritage Amid Controversy

Senior monks from Ayodhya’s major monastic centers issued a joint statement on September 6, urging the Hindu community to stand together after Maulana Sajid Rashidi praised Baba Bageshwar. Jagatguru Parmahansh Acharya warned that any attempt to replace India’s cultural symbols with foreign banners would be futile.

He referenced the historic claim that the nation is the domain of Lord Rama and the eternal Sanatan traditions, not of any external scripture. Acharya urged a strategic plan to safeguard Hindu values, noting that the past transformations of historic monuments should remind the community of the need for vigilance.

Both Mahant Sitaram Das and Mahant Shashikant Das echoed the sentiment, describing the remarks as a distortion of history and reaffirming that the country’s spiritual heritage remains strong.
