Authorities Ensure Safety Measures for Upcoming Kavad Pilgrimage

To guarantee a safe Kavad Yatra, district officials have issued detailed safety guidelines for the pilgrimage camps. Security, fire, food‑grade and electrical standards will be strictly enforced. Camps are to be situated a short distance away from the main traffic arteries to minimise the risk of vehicle‑related accidents. In addition, meat‑shop owners have been instructed to cease operations for the duration of the Yatra, a decision communicated through municipal channels. The D.M. has also deployed divers and patrol boats at the Yamuna riverbanks to monitor water levels and prevent devotees from entering potentially dangerous currents.
